I heard a song that I found particularly applicable to life at the moment...Trenton freaked out because I embedded it in the post and he thought that would cause lawsuit/liability issues so I had to remove it...but search for "ruin me jeff johnson" and it's on Youtube...

Bath time fun...quirky Kendall-isms..decisions, decisions...

I love that Kendall is now able to sit up - it makes bath time so much more fun for both parties involved. She can now grab at her floating turtle toys and kick around in the water. It makes it so much easier to wash her too. I got Trenton to snap a few shots of her last night...and no, she did not have leaves on in the bath...I just wanted to give her a little bit of modesty...she is a little girl after all!

It seems that she constantly has her pointer finger in the corner of her mouth...not sure if it's teething or just a quirky little habit that she has picked up recently. She never took to a pacificer, so maybe this is a substitution...not sure if that is better or worse...can't take away a pointer finger...

I think we are going to add cereal this week...I'll be sure to capture the sloppy fun on video and camera! I was reading in her baby book that we should try to put her in a load of freshly dried laundry...as you can see from the picture, she was not very amused!

There have been some big family decisions to be made over the past week. I won't go into details at the moment but I can say that I have finally come up with a solution that makes me feel at peace. Wish me luck on the harder part of the decision...the follow through...

It's been a productive afternoon! And my "one-handed while holding Kendall" typing is getting better every day!

Sleepy Sunday...just my speed!

Trenton is so proud of the backyard crepe myrtle...we've had a string of bad luck with the plants in the backyard. We lost the first crepe myrtle (nicknamed Bandit I), as well as a beautiful Japanese maple. I still remember that sad day taking the extinct tree back to Lowe's for a refund...

Happy Birthday Presley!

We had a fun time at cousin Presley's 5th birthday party. Unfortunately, I do not have any pictures of the birthday girl to post. The location was fun and just a little bit hectic - imagine a playhouse on steriods and you'll almost be there...it was a kid's dream though.

It has been a peaceful Sunday so far - even Wal-mart wasn't too much of a nightmare. Maybe this is a good sign for the upcoming week at work...

4 month check up

This post is a perfect example of how slow I have become these days! Kendall actually had her 4 month check up on 6/13...she now weighs 16 lbs 4 ozs, is 25 1/4 inches long, and her head is 17 1/8 inches "round" (or however you say it). Her pediatrician does not give us percentiles so I'm not sure if she's big or small compared to the average, but he did say she's very healthy and jokingly asked if she was ever fed...she is a little chunker these days :o) I've seen quite a few babies lately that are older and they look so small compared to Kendall...even their heads are smaller...but that must be because of the enormous brain power she inherited from mommy and daddy ;o)

The great debate in our house these days has been when to start feeding her cereal...the doctor said any time between now and 6 months and not to feel rushed into it...Trenton would rather wait until 6 months but I'm having milk supply issues and would rather add cereal than have to supplement with formula in the near future.

We'll see who wins...it will most likely be Trenton LOL!
