Growing up...

Kendall is becoming more of a little girl every day...she is adding new words by the day it seems...her favorites at the moment: "Melmo" (aka Elmo - her favorite), "bubbos" (bubbles), "mo juice" (more juice), turto (turtle), and the biggest and most annoying (yet the clearest) "NO". I wish she had never learned that last word, but she says it at least 50 times a day and usually in response to food offers or when we tell her to stop doing something.

I can see her becoming a lot like mommy...when I pick her up from day care she is usually wandering around by herself and I've had multiple people at the church day care mention that she has gone through every book in the nursery. Although she has a fair share of daddy too - she inspects EVERYTHING - really studying it to figure out how it works. So maybe she'll be a literary genius that builds rocket ships on the weekends...

Below are some pictures from last weekend:

Kendall retrieving one of her water toys...she likes to gather them
all in the dog's bowl, but she hates the grass!

  1. Kendall hates grass?? Ethan used to have a severe grass phobia at her age. Kendall's the only other kid I've heard of that didn't like grass.

Sounds like she's going to be a big talker!

  2. I recognize that outfit ;)

My girls (kendall's cousins) all hated grass when they were little. Rachel is OK with it now, but Ella won't walk on it unless she has on shoes. Oddly enough Jake loves to run barefoot on grass.

  3. So cute! She's definitely doing a good job of avoiding the grass in that first picture.

    Love the blog background too!
