First week part time

The long awaited part time began this week and it was beyond wonderful...THIS is why I stepped down. Finally I am seeing the benefits of my decision...it was completely amazing the difference in my attitude about almost everything. Monday wasn't so bad because for me it was actually my Wednesday (which I liked to point out to my fellow co-workers at least 10 times that day...I'm sure they LOVED that). Tuesday couldn't possibly be bad - that was my "hump" day after all...and Wednesday I was beyond happy all day because it was like my Friday. It's amazing how much more I enjoy work because I know I won't have to spend much time there.

Thursday we played, ate breakfast, got showered/dressed, and made it to/from the grocery store all before 10:30 in the morning. Funny how I can remember a time not all that long ago when I hadn't even gotten out of bed by that time! Then we met up with Maili and the twins in pursuit of Halloween costumes - which we found a pretty good deal on. All three will be matching monkeys :o) I can't wait to see them all together!

Today we went on a leisurely stroll in the morning and went up to my work for a free hamburger cookout that the building management hosted. They had a raffle and I ended up winning a Cowboys t-shirt...which was nice...but they also had actual TICKETS given out... And yes, I know, I did end up going to work technically, but I did absolutely NO WORK I can guarantee. Kendall got to meet lots of new faces and she only cried maybe 3 times...actually make that 4...she still has some separation anxiety these days. Then we got to ride bikes with Sarah and her little girl Allyson. That was so much fun, but I am seriously tired right now! You are in such awesome shape, Sarah!!!

Maybe I'll get to sleep in tomorrow morning...

OK, I must be getting delusional now LOL.

  1. Well, if it's any consolation, my back was pretty sore from lifting the bike and trailer into the truck. I thought it would be all better by morning, but I'm still pretty stiff. Getting old, I'm afraid! I've got ten years on you!
