Santa Pictures...and round 2 of the mobile vet...

Today I took Kendall for her first Santa picture! As expected, she did not smile however I think the one we ended up with was still pretty cute. After the mini-session, the photographer called me around to his computer and gave me 4 options: picture A was Kendall looking at Santa (cute but you couldn't really see her face), picture B was Kendall when she suddenly realized this big red man was NOT grandma, picture C was the photo above, and picture D was when the terror set in.

After the Santa pictures, my parents helped me with round 2 of trying to get the dogs their shots at the mobile vet....same place, same day, same time...and I thought it would be a lot smoother with more hands to help. And it was...until the vet tried to put the nasal Bordatella vaccine in Bandit's nose and he proceeded to back out of my arms - and tried to run into 5pm traffic. Fortunately my dad and I cornered him AWAY from the street and we continued with the rest of the process unscathed.

Phew...6months break until the NEXT round.

okay...here's the stocking

Keep in mind...there was no pattern...everything was stitched by my clumsy fingers and was not measured (I'm not the perfectionist that I'm married to)...

Just need another couple hours in the day...

It has been a little hectic the past few weeks - and it seems like I can't get caught up since being sick. Trenton's virus took longer to heal - either that or mom's really are THAT much tougher (LOL) - so I had complete Kendall duty for a number of days. That made it next to impossible to get caught up on cleaning the house - as soon as I cleaned something up, Kendall had discovered a new area to 'reorganize.' The house still seems disasterous to me, but at least the necessities are taken care of for the moment - clothes, dishes, and bathrooms (I am a clean bathroom freak).

I have almost completed Christmas shopping and can't wait for Kendall to dig into her new toys - she probably won't know the difference between the toy and the wrapping paper, but I'll still enjoy it. I even finished the stocking I made her - I'm a little embarassed to even mention the stocking because it's definitely not Martha Stewart worthy. I don't have a sewing machine and Trenton thought felt would be a nice crafty look, so it's kinda...not good...but it definitely resembles a stocking :)

And we found a child care place for Kendall...still makes me a little teary eyed thinking of dropping her off for 8 long hours at some building with a bunch of strangers....but hopefully I'll get over it soon...

Kendall is welcoming her upper two teeth - as seen in the above shot my dad took in the local Janie and Jake store. I think she was actually enjoying the hat for a moment...two seconds before ripping it off!

Long time...no update

It has been a little crazy since the last update...I normally do most of my blog entries on Thursday or Fridays since those are my two days home, but something bizarre happened early Wednesday - I got a horrible stomach virus! Ironically enough, this takes place literally 24 hours after HR takes away all my sick days...I won't go into that mess but I had the horrible stomach trouble ALL day Wednesday and still felt weak and nauseated throughout the weekend.

And the fun continues...Trenton catches the same bug yesterday and so I've been on double Kendall duty the past couple days...I hope the house can get and stay well soon!
